For Florida’s Future Statement on Trump’s Possible Insurance Fraud

October 24, 2016

Plantation, FL – For Florida’s Future released the following statement from Press Secretary Blake Williams on today’s Associated Press story about possible insurance fraud by Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump:

“There seems to be no law that Donald Trump won’t break in his obsession to enrich himself at the expense of hardworking taxpayers. And since he still refuses to release his taxes we don’t know how many times he has profited off of insurance fraud, violated the embargo with Cuba or used his fake charity as a tax-free piggy bank. But while this is not surprising, what voters should be paying attention to is who is failing to question his actions.

“Marco Rubio famously voted against relief for hurricane victims in the past but has no problem supporting a man who at the very least should be investigated for insurance fraud. Brian Mast, who is running to represent an area that was just impacted by Hurricane Matthew, says he’d be a budget watchdog but wants a man as president that would personally pocket recovery money intended for his constituents.”

“Florida deserves better than Marco Rubio and Brian Mast and with the start of Early Vote tens of thousands of voters are saying no to their campaigns.”
